Nowadays, the FTP service has become one of the most popular methods for transferring files over the Internet. That's because it's fast, it's safe and it's very simple to use. Despite the fact that there are numerous FTP clients on the market, few of them have the necessary options for an average user. Still, there are some FTP clients that manage to fill the gaps left behind by other similar programs. One of them is WISE-FTP. It is a powerful FTP client that has numerous features, being at the same time easy to use.

The software is compatible with most versions of the Windows operating system. It features a straightforward installation process that completes in the shortest time possible and only requires a few clicks for completing this. It takes up about 10 MB of hard disk space, which is less than other similar programs.

Running the program for the first time will display a step by step wizard, that guides the user through configuring a new FTP account. The interface of WISE-FTP resembles the one of a file manager, thus making users get familiar with the software in less time. The program comes with some built-in FTP accounts already configured, allowing the user to get familiar with the interface and with the program's features in the shortest time possible. Creating a new FTP account from scratch is a very simple process due to the step by step wizard. Entering the FTP server address, together with the username and password is all that takes to get the connection configured.

After completing this step, clicking on the connection button will display all the files and folders located on the FTP server in a Windows Explorer-like view. Transferring files from the hard disk to the FTP server can be done using a simple drag and drop operation.

The Site Manager feature of WISE-FTP allows storing all the FTP servers, together with their usernames and password. This way, one doesn't need to enter all this information every time he wants to connect to the FTP server.

The Options section of the program allows thoroughly configuring the program's functionality. Some settings are a bit complex and require some knowledge regarding FTP servers.

Pros:
It features a simple interface that resembles the one of Windows Explorer, allowing any type of user to quickly get familiar with it. Besides that, it features a Site Manager that can store all the information regarding FTP servers, like usernames and password, allowing the user to connect to them without re-entering login information over and over again.

Cons:
Despite the fact that there are numerous options available, some advanced users may still want more features from this program.

WISE-FTP is a great alternative to any FTP client on the market, having some unique features.
